Audi A3 Concept
Audi has officially released details on an A3 concept sedan following it’s earlier picture leak. Powered by a whopping 300kW, 5 cylinder engine and nearing A4 length, it poses some serious questions about model cannibalisation. If this goes into production, what will happen to both the A4 and the RS3? The silly sequence of A4 (add a few inches) A6 (add a few inches) A8 seems to become more ridiculous with the addition of an A3 sedan.
Regardless of Audi’s confused direction, I’m still very interested.

Trying my hand at photo-realistic icon creation, and it’s not going too bad. I don’t think I’ll be able to find the time to finish it (I originally planned to do the whole set b5 through to b8). Oh the curse of the overly ambitious designer.
Audi Shows off the Latest E-Tron

Audi has demonstrated it’s latest e-tron vehicle at the North American International Auto Show. You could be forgiven for believing it was yet another extremely futuristic-looking concept car; and nothing more. But allegedly, Audi has every intention in launching a version very similar to this car by 2012. In purely coincidental news, I think my A4 B5 will be looking for a replacement around a similar time frame.
The tail end has a slight touch of Aston Martin to it, and that’s certainly not a bad thing. The second iteration of the e-tron is certainly looking like an improvement on their first, garish beast of a car.

Porsche on a Budget
I found this post on the OzAudi forums, demonstrating the trouble someone went to in building a bike-powered Porsche shell. You can view the full photo set on Flickr. Absolute insanity!

I learn something new about this beauty every day I get behind the wheel.
