This weekend I heard Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday” for the first time. Or so I thought. As soon as I heard it I identified it as the core sample for a LAKE R▲DIO song “Joining You”. If you’ve ever seen QI you’ll know the Billie Holiday original has a crazy story behind it. There’s nothing like a song that leads people to off themselves.

Those of you who follow me on twitter are probably aware how much work (and whining) I’ve been doing these past 5 days. The best way to quantify this is not with the work itself, but my last.fm stats. Design work generally results in a huuuuge surge in Caribou/Manitoba listening.
